Welcome to Golden Hour Pets. These terms govern your use of goldenhour-pets.com and any purchase you make from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them.

1. Our product

We sell custom, made-to-order pet portraits printed on gallery-wrapped canvas. Portraits are created from photos you upload using AI-assisted watercolor rendering, and every portrait is reviewed by a human before printing. Because each item is custom, minor variation between the on-screen preview and the physical print (color, texture, crop) is normal and not a defect.

2. Your photos and content

When you upload a photo, you confirm that:

  • You own the photo or have permission to use it
  • It doesn't infringe anyone else's rights
  • It contains no unlawful, offensive, or inappropriate content

You grant us a limited license to use your uploaded photo solely to create and produce your portrait and fulfill your order. We don't sell your photos, and we don't use your pet's portrait in our marketing without asking you first.

We may decline to produce any upload at our discretion (for example, copyrighted images, images of people without consent, or offensive content). If we decline an order you've paid for, you get a full refund.

3. Orders, pricing, and payment

  • Prices are shown in USD and may change at any time; the price at checkout is the price you pay.
  • You're responsible for the accuracy of your order details (photo, pet name, size, shipping address).
  • Because production starts quickly, orders can only be changed or cancelled within [12 hours] of purchase (see our Return & Refund Policy).
  • We may refuse or cancel any order, including for suspected fraud, pricing errors, or policy violations. If we cancel a paid order, you receive a full refund.

4. Shipping and delivery

Estimated production and delivery windows are described in our Shipping Policy. Delivery estimates are good-faith projections, not guarantees — carrier delays are outside our control, though we'll always help you track down a late order. Risk of loss passes to you upon carrier delivery to the address provided.

5. Returns and refunds

Custom products are final sale except for damage, misprints, wrong items, and other issues covered in our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Golden Hour Pets name, logo, website design, text, and original imagery are our property. Your uploaded photos remain yours. The rendered portrait you purchase is for your personal use - you may not resell the artwork or use it commercially without our written permission.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site: no scraping, no interference with the site's operation, no fraudulent orders, no attempts to access systems or data that aren't yours.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site and products are provided "as is" except as expressly stated in our policies. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Golden Hour Pets is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in your home jurisdiction.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version; continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
